St. Charles Settles Lawsuit with Developer

Summary


St. Charles officials have settled a lawsuit filed by developer Mike Sellenschuetter after the city refused to allow his planned condominium project to connect to the municipality's water and sewer service. The city agreed to pay a little more than $1 million to companies operated by Sellenschuetter, according to the settlement agreement.

The City Council about four years ago voted against Sellenschuetter's request to connect his 24-unit Oak Ridge condo project. A couple of years later St. Charles County Circuit Judge Ted House ordered the city to allow the connection.
