Kevin D. Gunn has joined Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin's corporate department in the firm's St. Louis office as a partner. He will lead the St. Louis office's governmental affairs practice. Gunn's strong knowledge and background in politics, government and public policy will bring added expertise to Blackwell Sanders' governmental affairs practice area. He also brings with him two significant clients: GKN Aerospace and Boeing. Prior to joining Blackwell Sanders, Gunn served as chief of staff for Rep. Richard Gephardt, where he managed all congressional operations including a $1.3 million budget and 18 full-time staff members. He previously served as counsel for the Gephardt in Congress Committee and as counsel for the Missouri Redistricting Committee. From 1996 to 2000, Gunn was an associate at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal. Gunn is the founder and president of Gunn Communications, a public affairs and government relations company, which he formed after Gephardt retired from the House of Representatives. He was recently appointed to the Webster Groves City Council and serves on the foundation board of St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood.

He earned his law degree from Saint Louis University (1996) and his undergraduate degree from The American University (1992), Washington, D.C. Gunn also attended Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, from August 1992 to December 1992.
