Missouri legislators are going to be busy this coming week. They are cramming efforts before ending their session on May 12. At the same time political pundits, party loyalists, special interest representatives and public watchdogs began sharpening their red pencils to survey and mark what was and was not accomplished by lawmakers during the 93rd General Assembly.

Afterward, supporters and opponents will offer interpretations on whether elected officials passed or failed the interests of their constituents. Taxpayers in turn will be left living with the results and paying the bills.
