Lindenwood University marketing students are putting together a strategic plan for the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce. Chamber President Scott Tate said the chamber approached Lindenwood marketing professor David Arns about the project. The chamber should get a preliminary draft of the plan within days and should have the final draft in hand by the end of May. "With it being done by students, we don't know what to expect," Tate said. "Hopefully, it will help us figure out how we need to market ourselves."

The business group is doing a better job at keeping its members. The retention rate was up this past year compared to previous years, Tate said.
