Summary


Lawyers and judges defended the state's method for selecting judges Thursday as a legislative critic called for moving to the federal system of judicial appointments.

It was all part of a plenary discussion held as part of The Missouri Bar's annual meeting. The panel included Supreme Court Judge Michael Wolff, Sen. Matt Bartle, Sen. Jolie Justus and Rep. Jim Lembke, and was moderated by former Supreme Court Chief Justice Edward "Chip" Robertson.
