In just a few months, the historic Denker mansion will mark its 115th anniversary since original construction was completed on the St. Charles landmark in 1891. For Randy Weber, principal member of the law firm of Hazelwood & Weber and a current owner/occupant of the building, it is an opportunity to recognize a unique blending of the past with anticipation for the future.

Originally known by locals as the twin tower house, the approximately 10,000-square-foot structure was constructed by Henry B. Denker, head of the St. Charles (Railroad) Car Co., which was later sold to the American Car and Foundry Co., and the owner of other area businesses. Denker also served the community as St. Charles County treasurer from 1865 to 1875 and was mayor of St. Charles from 1902 to 1910.
